Cold Lovers Le Froid

From the Musee du Luxembourg is a picture postcard showing Paul Roger-Bloche's "Le Froid", which is a bronze statue showing a pair of shivering lovers embracing to keep warm.

The back of card is in written in French. This is a bromide real photo postcard. The edges are browning and the card has a shine to it.

I don't really know the age of the card, but it is early twentieth century at the latest.

Rating: Good

It amazes me that they've put all these interesting things on postcards. I would've thought that they were just all "pretty landscape" scenes.

Yes, it is amazing! I've learned more about geography and history than I ever knew before just buying and selling postcards. Sometimes it's a little window into a world that you'd never think was there. Don't these poor things look COLD?
